Alta is working with the City of Lincoln (NE) to develop an innovative two-way cycle track that will connect the up-and-coming Haymarket District to the Antelope Valley Trail through the heart of downtown. The existing roadway cross section is quite generous and there is existing angle parking on both sides of the street. The City has an opportunity to partner with their Watershed division and obtain additional funding for the project by providing green street stormwater planters as part of the design. Our initial conceptual designs have been well-received by the project advisory committee and we’re moving forward toward a presentation to the public in late-June.
